|A History of Responsible Excellence|
Stewart Mining Industries, Inc., has been a part of Florida’s construction material industry since 1978, when its first location was opened in Fort Pierce. What began as a small sand and fill operation has grown into a diverse company providing construction aggregate materials for concrete products, roadways, golf courses, and beach restoration.
Stewart's first sand mine was donated to the City of Fort Pierce
as a water retention facility.
Stewart currently operates three mines and is in the process of
establishing additional operations in key areas to help meet the needs of a rapidly growing state. The President and Founder of SMI, Nick Stewart, is a fifth generation Floridian and is committed to keeping Florida beautiful through responsible mining practices and land reclamation.
Our growth is spearheaded by highly skilled personnel and an aggressive statewide exploration, testing, and development program. This we do with full regard to the principles of sustainable development and environmental protection.
